...I've always been a fan of ol' Jack - purely as a morbid curiosity and folklore sort of way... and I've often loved many of the portrayals and stories which include him in the telling of the stories.
I think one of the oddest sudden appearances by Jack in a story was on the TV show "Babylon 5" where he showed up as the inquisitor and tortured the main characters of the show... when it was finally revealed who he was, he lamented on how he'd been painted by history - losing all TRUE identity and becoming just this mythical figure in the night known as "Jack"
Anyone else have a fun / cool "Jack" sighting in a novel / tv show / movie they'd like to share?

Fri, April 23, 2004 - 11:26 PMThis is old, but anyone remember the tv show "Voyagers" where there was this guy and a young boy who traveled back and forth in time, fixing things, etc? (This was pre-Quantum Leap). One of their main adversaries, an old friend of the protagonist (Phineous Boggs) who had turned evil, was discovered to have been Jack The Ripper in one of the episodes. I always remembered thinking that was kind of cool.

Re: Strange or Unusual Appearances...
Sat, April 24, 2004 - 5:34 AMThere was an episode of the original Star Trek where it turned out that Jack was actually an intergalactic intentity of some sort that would take over the body of a person and force it to carry out murders, then move on to it's next host. That was pretty cool. Scotty was accused of the murder but Kirk and Spock figured it out and identified the host before he could do anymore harm. -

Sat, December 3, 2005 - 9:31 AMOne of my favourites. I particularly like the use pf the theory that it wasn't actually Mary Jane Kelly who was killed, in the film it's Mary Steenburgen's character Amy's roomate who is murdered and believed to be her.

Re: Strange or Unusual Appearances...
Sun, December 4, 2005 - 10:44 PM"Voyagers"-wow that brings back memories. It was sad when the lead actor died from accidently shooting himself in the head with a blank at a party-He was also in that show about covergirls.
Ok heres one...a rae find...a movie called "Jacks Back" with James Spader has some odd Jack refs in it.
